It was time to go to preschool. I remember I cried the whole day without letting go of my mother. I did not want to get left, but I guess the next few days got better since only the helper needed to drop me off and of course, no more crying.

As with most preschools, there were numerous activities for the kids. One of those was a school play, and all the kids had roles. I don’t remember practicing, but I do remember needing to prepare costumes. I needed a cape. All I got was my mother’s robe. At a young age, I remember feeling embarrassed.
